The New
Pycho-Cybernetics
By Maxwell Maltz, ed. Dan Kennedy
Psycho-Cybernetics is a very practical
down-to-earth guide for achieving your goals. The key theme is about
utilizing the sub-conscious. The sub-conscious can either aid or hinder
progress towards your goals.
This research emerged after observations Maltz made as a plastic
surgeon. He was responsible for changing peoples' physical image.
However, there were big differences in results his patients experienced
in their life. For some their lives took off as a result of their change
in appearance, whilst others failed to see the benefits they though
surgery would bring.
The key factor here was self-image. Our own internal representation of
ourselves. Those trying to change their self-image through external
surgery we unsuccessful. However, those surgery brought their external
appearance back in line with their self-image, like removing horrible
scars after an accident, experienced substantial results in their life.
Listen to Maxwell Maltz discuss 5 key principles and Salvador Dali's
response to the original Psycho-Cybernetics:
Through psycho-cybernetics you learn to mould your
sub-conscious self-image so as to bring it in alignment with your goals.
This allows your automatic success mechanism (your sub-conscious) to
seek out everything you wish to achieve.
However, if you self-image does not match your goals, then your
sub-conscious will sabotage your efforts. It will act as a failure
mechanism.
The New Psycho-Cybernetics is easy to read and provides a very practical
approach to the Law of Attraction and goal achievement.
